They Might Be Awesome

Saw They Might Be Giants in Brooklyn last night — there’s a great writeup here, so I won’t try and top it. :) Setlist is here. Show rocked. I’ve gotta tell you, I utterly and totally geek out when bouncing around to songs about the sun and James K. Polk. And twisting! NËRDCORE RULEZ!

I felt bad, though, this woman in front of me had an extra-lengthy bag, and I kept bumping into it. :( On the other hand, don’t bring such a big bag to such a tiny venue…

Not much else going on. R and I had our first holiday party last weekend…first in this space and first together. We fit about 30 people in our studio, which was a minor miracle. I think the party was successful, which was a major miracle. :) We then went from being totally focused on the party to being totally focused on holiday shopping…which has now resulted in us being totally insane, as we’re not finished yet. By a long shot. Hoo-eeeee.

I should have done “Holidailies” this year, but I knew that wasn’t going to happen. Everyone would have been bored anyway…first two weeks in December were devoted to apartment cleanup/party prepping, and the last two weeks(ish) to shopping. How interesting is that?! Kudos to those making it through. :)
