Today’s Holidailies writing prompt was, “Things I once thought I’d do that I now know I’ll never ever do.”

I’ve probably got a metric ton of those — but the most immediate one is, “I will never tour with my rock band.” Once upon a time, I thought I would — that I’d all be punk rock like Henry Rollins and go on the road, get in the van, and tour, man, tour.

I turn 40 in less than five months, so I think we can all agree that’s not in my future at this point. :) Sometimes I regret it; most times, I don’t. The older I’ve gotten, the less I’ve wanted to be famous…and the more I’ve realized that, damn, I was a crappy frontperson! XD

Now if I could just go be Rush’s lighting designer, or even Porcupine Tree’s…now that would do for me. :)
